About Riding Lessons:

Ages 8 to Adult are welcome, at all levels from beginners to advanced competitors. For beginner riders, Stillwater has horses available. Lessons are fun and challenging. Riders will earn more than just how to ride, they also learn responsibility, self-confidence, respect and compassion. With Stillwater Stable's Indoor and Outdoor Arenas, lessons take place all year round.

Trainer Sally Pray develops successful riders by teaching good equitation, proper flat work and form. This program is designed to instill the fundamentals necessary to transition into horse ownership and showing.

Safety is always first. Students wear ASTM approved helmets when mounted. Riders are to wear proper riding boots or paddock boots.

About Sally:

Here at Stillwater Stables, Trainer Sally Pray teaches lessons in English Riding, specializing in Hunters and Jumpers. Sally emphasizes a strong foundation in the basics of good riding and equitation.

Sally is an accomplished and respected horsewoman. Showing in rated USEF shows, she won many championships in the Hunter Ring over the past 15 years including Amateur Owner, Amateur Adult and Novice Adult divisions.

After graduating from Iowa State in 1993, she attended St. Mary of the Wood for Equine Studies in 1995 and 1996. In 2005 she opened Stillwater Stables that has quickly become the best horse facility in the area with a reputation for quality training and horse care.
